Strong password generator
Create a password nobody can guess, and check whether your old password has leaked.
🔍 Has my password leaked?
🔒 Your password never leaves your browser: only the first 5 characters of its encrypted fingerprint (SHA-1) are sent, and Have I Been Pwned receives even those through our server, without your IP.
How to make a password strong
- Length beats complexity: 16 characters are safer than 8 with symbols.
- Use a different password for every site, so one leak doesn't unlock the rest.
- Keep passwords in a password manager (the one in your browser or phone), not in notes.
- Turn on two-step verification wherever you can: email, bank, social media.
FAQ
Do you see or store my passwords?
No. Passwords are created right in your browser and never sent anywhere. The leak check uses only the first 5 characters of the password's encrypted fingerprint.
What does “found in breaches” mean?
This password has appeared in databases stolen from various websites. Attackers try these passwords first — even if it wasn't your data that leaked, don't use it.
How long should a password be?
At least 14–16 characters for important accounts. “Easy to remember” mode creates a long password from syllables that is easier to remember.
