How a temporary email works
You get a random address like quietotter4821@getneatbox.com. Emails sent to it appear right on the page — no account and no password. After 24 hours the address and all its emails are deleted automatically.
When it is useful
- One-off sign-ups for a site or app you will only use once.
- Downloading a PDF, catalogue or file that is offered “in exchange for your email”.
- Wi-Fi in cafés, airports and malls that asks for an email.
- Free trials, so you don't get marketing emails afterwards.
- Testing how a website sends emails (handy for developers and testers).
When not to use a temporary email
A temporary address is deleted after 24 hours, so don't use it where you will need the email later: banking, government services, work, purchases with a warranty, or any account you don't want to lose. If you ever need a password reset, you can't get a deleted address back.
For those cases, use a permanent anonymous address — for example from our Telegram bot @neatbox_bot: the address never expires, emails arrive in Telegram, and your real email still stays private.
